Ich bin Dichter und Independent Researcher und lebe und arbeite in Berlin.

Meine Interessen drehen sich um naturalistische Metaphysik im Kontext des Anthropozän-Denkens, um biografische Zeit und die Dynamik der Weltbevölkerung sowie um die Automatisierung natürlicher Sprache.

Momentan arbeite ich an einem Buch zur Notwendigkeit der Säkularisierung der Staaten von der Geschichte. Es ist ein antimilitaristisches Buch, das fragt, wie Staaten und andere politische Akteure Körpern Geschichten zuschreiben.

2024–25 war ich Stipendiat des Berliner Programms Künstlerische Forschung und Hauskünstler bei Burg Hülshoff – Center for Literature. 2025 hatte ich die Thomas-Kling-Poetikdozentur an der Universität Bonn inne, 2025–26 habe ich am Deutschen Literaturinstitut Leipzig unterrichtet.

Hi, I’m Daniel.

I’m a poet and independent researcher living and working in Berlin.

My interests revolve around naturalistic metaphysics in the context of Anthropocene thought, around biographical time and the dynamics of world population, and around the automation of natural language.

I’m currently working on a book on the necessity of secularizing states from history. It is an antimilitarist book that asks how states and other political actors ascribe histories to bodies.

In 2024–25 I was a fellow of the Berlin Program for Artistic Research and artist in residence at Burg Hülshoff – Center for Literature. In 2025 I held the Thomas Kling Chair of Poetics at the University of Bonn, and in 2025–26 I taught at the German Literature Institute Leipzig.
