Daniel Falb ist Lyriker und Theoretiker. Er lebt und arbeitet
in Berlin.
2024/25 ist Falb Stipendiat des Berliner Programms Künstlerische Forschung mit dem Projekt „Earth Spirits: AI Animism and Non-Human Poetry“.
Zeitgleich ist er einer von mehreren Hauskünstler*innen bei Burg Hülshoff – Center for Literature.
Im Sommersemester 2025 hat Falb die Thomas Kling-Poetikdozentur an der Universität Bonn inne.
Im Wintersemester 2025-26 lehrt er am Deutschen Literaturinstitut Leipzig.
Zuletzt hat Falb mit dem Theoretiker Armen Avanessian in einem gemeinsamen Buch die lebensgeschichtlichen Konsequenzen der Veränderungen untersucht, die der Planet heute beschleunigt durchläuft: die Durchdringung von Naturgeschichte und Biografie.

2022 hat Falb hingegen zur Philosophie der Weltbevölkerung gearbeitet. Die Weltbevölkerung ist ein mystisches Hyper-Hyperobjekt. Zugleich spielt ihr Begriff eine Schlüsselrolle im Entwurf einer neuen planetarischen Verfassung.

Simultan ist ein barrierefreier Gedichtband entstanden, der ein kleines Segment der Weltbevölkerung herausgreift und nach dessen Verknüpfung mit dem großen Rest fragt. Die leichte Sprache wird als Ort der Aushandlung von Zugang und Ausschluss, Mobilität und Immobilität poetisch in Gebrauch genommen.

In der Pandemie hat Falb Fragen von Global Health mit dem Begriff der Lebens-Form (Giorgio Agamben) zusammengebracht.
Zuvor ging es in seiner Praxis viel um Theorie des Anthropozäns, naturalistische Metaphysik und Poetologie.

In the summer semester of 2025, Falb holds the Thomas Kling Poetics Lectureship at the University of Bonn.
In the winter semester of 2025-26, he will teach at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig.
Most recently, Falb collaborated with theorist Armen Avanessian on a book examining the consequences of the rapid changes our planet is currently undergoing on our life stories: the intertwining of natural history and biography.
